Any book like this will please cause controversy but it is NOT trying to say that these are the best songs of all time we all have different opinions but provides an interesting selection of songs with brief commentary on why they are significant While I don t always agree with the choices or comments, it is an intriguing book for people

This is the sort of book I like to look at and see how many of the songs I have actually heard I found that I had heard the majority in the 50 s and 60 s but as the years went on, I d heard less and less I enjoyed reading the background to the songs and was surprised with some of the stories I found some of his choices strange, but was pleased to see Sally go round the rose
